The oldest part of a city is the Centre. Their streets are narrow and there are lots of monuments in it, such as the Cathedral, Palaces, etc… The newer part of the city is formed by the neighbourhoods that round the centre. Their streets are wide and straight, they form blocks of houses. A lot of people work and live here. The outskirts
of a city are formed by the neighbourhoods that round the
newer part. There are residential areas, shopping
centres and factories.
