Our circulatory system takes charge of blood circulation all along our body.

3.1.- Parts of circulatory system.

Circulatory system is made up of:

  • Blood; a thick red fluid. It carries different substances along our body.

  • Heart; it is a fist-shaped muscular organ and it is inside the thoracic cavity. Our heart is a hollow organ and blood goes inside; when heart beats, blood is propelling to our body.

  • Blood vessels; blood goes through them. There are two types:

- Veins: blood comes into heart through them

- Arteries: blood goes out heart through them.
