Soil is made up of three caps with different materials in each one. The first layer, at the top of the soil, there is water, air and humus. Humus is made up of plants and animals remains, minerals and sand particles. The intermediate layer has rocks, sand, clay and less water than the first layer. The lower layer has rocks and almost no water.
